lyrics

She gave it a second chance, though he ripped her heart clean out of her chest
When he betrayed her through a glance, and a tempting ruse ending with a kiss
She thought it was eternity, the love she had discovered in him
But in this cruel reality, very few things can last forever.

Second chances bring greater heart ache, this girl came to learn through his blow
But the love she had known wasn't fake, this tragic ending couldn't be real
She had to hold on to the thought, that he would come back to her once more
This ideal vision she had sought, came crashing down through its fragile frame.

They say that time heals all wounds,
But then why is her cut growing deeper?
That it's all about the climb,
But then why is her hill growing steeper?
She knows that it's best to let go,
But she's afraid of the fall.
He threw at her, a fatal blow,
She wants to forget it all.
And cease to exist...

Every night he was always there, every morning he kissed her goodbye.
Now she turns to find his side bare, she doesn't know how she will do this.
It was becoming much more real, this realization hurt even more
How could something lose its appeal, for him who vowed he was so in love

They say that time heals all wounds,
But then why is her cut growing deeper?
That it's all about the climb,
But then why is her hill growing steeper?
She knows that it's best to let go,
But she's afraid of the fall.
He threw at her, a fatal blow,
She wants to forget it all.
And cease to exist...
